The aim of these initiatives if to ensure we have an innovative, but research based entrepreneurial environment.
Our students are increasingly trained in entrepreneurship within the food space. Partly in order to strengthen the students' competences in collaboration in an industrial setting and also to ensure they know what it’s like to work in a startup, small or medium enterprise, or a larger international company, and partly to support them to develop their own innovative ideas.
The Kitchen is Aarhus University’s biggest startup hub dedicated to accelerate knowledge and innovative solutions to the fundamental challenges facing society. The Kitchen helps students and researchers from Aarhus University realize their ideas, build their businesses and increase impact.
The Kitchen is open to everyone. So whether you are an established student startup or spinout, a student, PhD or researcher with a business idea that you wish to realize, or you are just interested in knowing more about entrepreneurship, The Kitchen offers a wide variety of events and services to help you. Their offer includes access to an open office space and meeting facilities, counselling from startup and spinout advisors, networking opportunities, workshops, programs, courses and events.
The EIT FOOD Seedbed Programme, though the Aarhus University Seedbed Hub, provides to Startups located in ScandinaviaTraining, Mentorship and up to €10,000 for your Customer Discovery journey
Seedbed programmes will enable you to identify key customers, test the market and take your minimum viable product or service from a commercial proposition to a validated business.

Food eHub is the entrepreneurship office open for all students at Aarhus University with food or agriculture ideas that could be turned into businesses. Participation is free.
