Research focus is nutrition of dairy cows, and how an effective milk production can be obtained together with a reduced environmental- and climate impact. This is mediated through improved feed evaluation and increased understanding of nutrient metabolism in the digestive tract, and through studies on the variation between cows, also in cows’ response to nutrient supply and response to methane reducing feed additives. Forage production and forage quality is an important part of the research area.
