The project focuses on numerical model development for the simulation of high-tech lab-scale distillation units for the mitigation of volatile compounds in vegetable oils

The project aims to improve an already existing in-house simulation tool which has been developed to be predictive about the outcomes of thin film distillation applications and optimization of the process conditions. Study covers the understanding of non-ideal mixing of organic compounds in the liquid phase and hands-on implementation of numerical models for gas phase flows.
