Developing R Tools for sensory study designs

Develop R-based tools to design and analyze sensory studies efficiently. This project combines sensory science, statistics, and coding to create robust study designs for consumer and descriptive analysis

Sensory studies are vital in understanding consumer perceptions and product characteristics. Efficient and reproducible study designs are key to successful sensory research.

In this master project, we aim to develop R-based tools to support sensory and consumer studies. The student will:

  • Develop R code templates to create various study designs for sensory and consumer studies, including within-subject replicate designs, between-subject designs, and balanced incomplete block designs.
  • Implement balanced designs for generalized Descriptive Analysis (gDA) following standard gDA protocols.

This project combines sensory science, statistical analysis, and coding, providing practical skills in R programming for conducting sensory studies.
