Access

Access to FOODHAY Equipment will be provided in according to three different Access modes:

1. Exploratory

2. Excellence

3. Advanced

An access mode is designated to each individual equipment based on the level of training, sample preparation required, type of data generated and complexity of interpretation of data. Researchers and industry representatives may have access to FOODHAY research infrastructure and may be regulated according to one Access mode, or any combination of them, depending on which equipment is accessed to solve the research question.

1. Exploratory

In exploratory Access mode, a User gains Access to one or more pieces of Equipment financed by FOODHAY and where minimum training, advice on sample  preparation,  experimental  set  up and interpretation of data is needed.

The User will, before any Access to the Equipment in exploratory Access mode, sign the guidelines stipulated by the Steering Committee (Access to Exploratory is the same access agreement, irrespective of where the equipment is located).

The guidelines will include costs, training requirements, access to data, safety regulations and liability.

2. Excellence

In excellence Access mode, a User gains Access to one or more pieces of Equipment financed by FOODHAY and the Access is granted either in person under the guidance of trained staff or students or provided directly by the Party granting Access.

The excellence access may be granted in combination with access to the Party's other research facilities.

The excellence Access is foreseen to be relevant e.g. for research initiatives, larger proof of concept studies, new method development and talent development.

The Access will be subject to a standard collaboration agreement directly with the relevant FOODHAY Party(s).

3. Advanced

In advanced Access mode, a User gains Access to one or more pieces of Equipment financed by FOODHAY and the Access is granted either in person under the guidance of highly trained personnel or provided directly by the Party granting Access.

The advanced access can be granted in combination with access to the Party's other  research facilities.

The advanced Access is in particular relevant for research Initiatives, larger proof of concept  studies, new  method  development and talent development.

The Access will be subject to a standard collaboration agreement directly with the relevant FOODHAY Party(s).

FOODHAY consortium establish 3 levels of access, based on the following principles:
