Vapor Sorption Analyzer.
The VSA can generate isotherms of a product or ingredient. The isotherm can be uploaded to the Aqualab3 water activity measuring device, allowing for determination of water activity and moisture content of a sample within 5 minutes.
It is a very precise piece of equipment and the knowledge generated from the analysis can be used to strengthen product-development, product optimization, predictive shelf-life test and provide in depth understanding of specific powder behaviors, such as glass transition and other critical parameters.
It can also help choosing the right type of packaging material for a product, based on water vapor transmission rates.
